Homework

Homework should be:

  • a natural progression from work done in school
  •  time spent talking between parents and/or grandparents and the child about what is happening in school
  • quality working time, without the distractions of video games, television or radio
  • set with clear expectations and time scales
  •  a partnership between home and school.
Our homework policy was devised after extensive consultation with parents, children and staff, with the result that homework is consistently manageable, covers a range of topics and is valued by all parties.

Time spent talking to and visiting museums and libraries with your child all add value to the work we are doing in school.

We ask for your support and co-operation with any work your child is asked to do at home.
