Pre-School Links

Claverdon Primary School Reception Class
We are closely associated with the main, local pre-schools and work together to ensure a smooth transition into the Reception class.

Stepping Stones pre-school regularly come into school to participate in joint activities, including a Zoolab workshop where the children meet all sorts of weird and wonderful creatures!

The Reception class also take care of the Friendship Garden, visit the Doctors' Surgery and are involved in the induction of the new Reception children through both the Teddy Bears' picnic and induction days.
Reception's Outdoor Classroom Facility

In addition to their indoor classroom, the Reception class have a covered area which they use as an outdoor classroom. This is used to deliver all aspects of their curriculum from making model giants from Jack & the Beanstalk to ordering numbers on a washing line.
